Could not find part associated with vendor part

Description of Error

When trying to bring up a part within the Inventory Entry screen, a user may get the following error:

Could not find part associated with vendor part

Cause of Error

This error occurs if a data import has been done incorrectly or if parts have been deleted in a manner other than using the Inventory Entry screen, such as through SQL or batch files. The error refers to an invalid association in the VenParts table for an alternate part number that is not tied into a valid part and vendor.

Resolution

Delete the part reference from the VenParts table and if the problem part number is found in any other inventory tables, it should be deleted from there as well.
