Unable to access the ESC Licensing Server.

Description of Error:

When attempting to add a new user or modify an existing users permissions to include mobile access, a user may receive the following error:

Unable to access the ESC Licensing Server. Error: The Underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel.

Cause of Error:

The computers operating system is rejecting access to our server because it does not recognize that our SSL Certificate is secure and trustworthy.

Resolution:

Some SSL flaws and vunerabilities within Windows have been corrected in newer Windows updates and to fix this problem, it is recommended to download and install the latest Windows service packs, required updates and all .Net optional updates.

If the computer has all of the latest updates, be sure to check and disable any firewall programs that may be installed and running. These programs can block access to web sites and make connections appear to fail when they typically would not.
