AHS Error: Unable to connect to the remote server.

Follow

Description of Error:

Dispatches received from American Home Shield (AHS) may not send status updates to AHS automatically. In these situations the Connections Server log may show the following error:

Unable to connect to the remote server.

Cause of Error:

Something is stopping the Connections Server from communicating with the AHS web class.

Resolution:

Make sure you can communicate with the AHS web class using the following details:

https://ahsintegration.ahslink.com/externalWebServices/dispatch/DispatchStatusUpdate.jws?WSDL=

Username: WebSrvExtUser

Password: w3b5rvextus3r

If you are unable to do so, look for things that could be blocking access. In one situation we found that adding https://ahsintegration.ahslink.com/ to the list of Trusted Sites in Internet Explorer fixed the problem.
