Viewing Dispatch Details

Click any dispatch to display the details of the call. Depending on your screen resolution you may have to scroll down in your browser to see all the customer's details.

  • ESC Front Office only displays Active, Non-Completed Dispatches

Changing the Status of a Dispatch

Complete the following steps to change the status of a dispatch.

  1. Click the Dispatch to select it.
  2. Select the desired Status from the pull down list.
  3. If you invoice in the field and are completing the dispatch, enter the invoice number you gave the customer in the Invoice field.
  4. Add Dispatch Notes if desired.
  5. Click Save.


Transferring a Dispatch

To transfer a dispatch to another technician, complete the following steps.

  1. Click the Dispatch to select it.
  2. Select the desired Technician from the pull down list. You can only select technicians that appear on the current board.
    Note: To change a dispatch to a technician that does not appear on the current board, transfer the dispatch to a tech that appears on both boards (such as Unassigned) then switch to the board that contains the desired technician and transfer the call from the temporary technician to the correct one.
  3. Change the Promised Date and Time if desired.
  4. Add Dispatch Notes if desired.
  5. Click Save.

Changing Views

To change between the dispatch, daily or monthly view simply click on the desired icon.

Scrolling

The Left and Right icons let you know that there are more technicians on the board than can be displayed at one time. Clicking the icons will scroll the screen so the other technicians can be seen.

  

The Up and Down icons let you know that there are more dispatches on the board than can be displayed at one time. Clicking the icons will scroll the screen so the other dispatches can be seen.

Note: When on the Monthly view these icons will change the month displayed instead.

  

The Arrow icons without words inform you that additional technicians exist in the Left Frame (first column). Click the arrows to scroll through the additional technicians.

  

Changing Boards

To change between different dispatch boards, click the name of the currently displayed board and select the new board from the resulting list.

 

Changing Dates

To change the date displayed on the Dispatch or Daily view, click the date pull down and select the date from the resulting calendar. To instantly change the date to the current date, click the Today button instead.

In order for your technicians to be able to use ESC Front Office you will need to set them up as technicians with their own ESC logon and password.  

  1. Go to CompanySetup Users and complete the following directions.
  2. Click Add New to create a new technician or double-click on an existing one to edit them.
  3. Enter the desired User Name and Password.
  4. Associate to Tech with the User Name.  If you do not have technicians setup yet, head to DispatchEnter Technicians to create them there first.
  5. Click Next.
  6. In the Selected Security Options, enable ESC Front Office.
  7. Click Finish.
