ESC offers a cash flow report for tracking cash. To set up this feature go to Company → System Setup → Accounting and press the Setup Cash Flow Accounts button.
A Cash Flow Setup screen will appear, in which the appropriate accounts can be entered for your customized Cash Flow report. The exact accounts you use here should be discussed with your accountant but the general rules are:
- Cash On Hand – Cash accounts such as checking, savings, etc.
- Cash Paid Out – Expense accounts such as rent, taxes, wages, etc.
- Financing Activities – Accounts such as loans, capital, owner’s advances, etc.
To run the report, head to Company → Reports → Financial Reports → Cash Flow Report. Select the Period you wish to run the report for, then click the Preview button.
