You take good care of your computer. You run your updates, you use complex passwords and you keep your anti-virus program running at all times. And your computer is happy. Then, one day you try to log into ESC and it shuts back down. You log in again and it may even let you open other screens, but then shuts down. It doesn't even give you the decency of an error message. How rude.
Then you remember that you just updated your AVG Anti-Virus program to the latest version and that's when the problems started. Don't worry, with a little coaching you can make AVG and ESC play nice. Here's how...
- Open the AVG program.
- Click Computer.
- Click the Gear under Anti Virus.
- Click Exceptions.
- Click Add Exception.
- Select Application or File from the drop-down menu.
- Click the Browse button.
- Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\desco\ESC\ESC.exe.
- Click Open.
- Click Apply.
- Click OK.
Now that you've added ESC to AVG's friends list, you should be able to relaunch ESC and continue working without further issues. If you need assistance with this process, feel free to contact our award-winning Support line.
