Release 15.11

ESC Desktop

  • When saving a credit card on file for use on future payments, that card can now be shared between locations. This is ideal for commercial customers that have multiple locations, wanting to use a single card for all transactions.
  • Within the Customer Center, you can easily see whether a customer has a credit card stored on file.
  • When using ESC Accounting, you can use cards on file for recurring translations. This is perfect for setting up payment plans for customers that can't afford everything they need at once.
  • ESC will send the associated zip code with payment information on recurring transactions to comply with new Visa regulations, helping ensure your costs do not increase.
  • Help links have been updated to provide even more relevant information. The Help option on the left of the dashboard now opens the Support site in-app.
  • Links to process payments via Cayan have been removed as our partnership and ability to support payments through this platform have now ended.
  • In EAS Accounting, fixed a bug with the payments drop-down under the Enter Payments and Enter PrePayments screens.

ESC Mobile

  • Saved credit cards can be used to process a payment from the field. This functionality can be enabled or disabled for each technician.
  • When using a card on file, there is an improved notification alerting you that a charge has successfully been completed in on ESC mobile.

Release: 15.07

ESC Desktop

  • Users may now securely store credit cards.
Through the Clearent integration, ESC now allows you to securely save credit cards for each customer and location that can be used for future transactions.
    • Direct communication with Clearent’s vault means your company in full compliance with
PCI standards. NO credit card information is ever entered or stored in your database.
    • Stored cards can be applied to invoices for that customer.
    • You can also use stored cards to automate monthly credit card charges for agreement
plans. This has been proven to be the most effective way of selling agreements as it
feels like less commitment to the customer and is much easier for you.
  • Integration with Clearent SREDKey Readers
Being able to swipe credit cards in the office is fantastic if you deal with any point of sale
transactions. The new SREDKey reader hooks up to ESC Desktop through a USB cable, giving you
    lower rates and accurate entry.
  • Easier reconciliation
We are now passing more data to the Clearent Virtual Terminal to make it easier to reconcile
payments with the bank and ESC.
  • Better discounts
Discounts now flow all the way from quote to dispatch to invoice making sure the price you
quoted is exactly what you charge.
  • ESC Accounting users can now file their payroll taxes electronically.
  • Fixed an issue on the Purchase Order List where searching with decimal points caused an error.
  • Fixed an issue where a payment method could get overwritten when charging a credit card.

ESC Mobile

  • Integration with Clearent EMV Readers on ESC Mobile
You can now accept chip cards and reduce your exposure to fraudulent charges. The new card
